Over ten years ago Ron Schoemmell, then an experienced futures trader, was asked to write an article for a major trading newsletter. He signed the article, "R.S., Houston, TX." Immediately, the article became a big hit and Ron was asked to write another article for the newsletter.

Before long, excited readers were calling the publisher asking the true identity of "R.S. of Houston." The mystery was unraveled when, at last, Ron revealed himself in a later article.
The trading publication then asked Ron and his trading partner, Valdi Thorkelsson to do several trading workshops to show other traders how to successfully trade futures and not long after that, RS of Houston Workshops was born.
