Take a Closer Look at Each Pattern that You'll Learn with RS of Houston's Proprietary Trading Methodology

Pattern recognition trading is considered the most reliable form of trading available because of its high predictability, simple recognition, and consistent results.  RS of Houston bases it pattern-based trading methodology on the following six patterns that have been shown to catch nearly every major move in the market.

Breakout Pattern

Sometimes markets go sideways with no apparent direction or indication of impending movement. This pattern allows our students to capture explosive moves just as they are happening when others are sitting at the screen watching helplessly as the move unfolds, with no way of getting onboard.

Continuation Pattern

When a market is trending this pattern is highly effective at capturing such moves with a very controlled risk. The problem with trending markets is that it is often hard to find good entry points using small stops. This pattern allows a trader to take advantage of large trending moves with relative ease.

MAZe Pattern

The MAZe pattern is an offshoot of the Continuation pattern, however it offers more trades in trending and somewhat trending markets. This pattern is also great for sideways markets that have big swings in them. The MAZe pattern is one of our most versatile and solid trading patterns enjoyed by most students.

Counter-Trend Pattern

The Countertrend Pattern is an extremely effective pattern that catches moves, which are extreme in nature, where a market has been moving in one direction for a long time without much of a correction. This pattern is great for capturing short, explosive moves against the trend.

Swing Pattern

The market frequently moves in wide swings. The swing pattern is not trend-dependent and works equally well in trending and non-trending markets.  If you enjoy taking the swings out of a market several times a day regardless of whether a trend is present or not, you will enjoy how this pattern captures the ups and downs of the market several times a day.

Wall Pattern

This is a highly accurate and effective pattern for capturing the beginning of new trends just as the turning point unfolds. The Wall Pattern puts you on the right side of the market and is one of our student's favorite trading patterns.  As with all of our patterns, the Wall Pattern is simple, and easy to identify in real time.

Using these six patterns you will be able to capture nearly every major move in the market.  You'll notice that there are no oscillators or complicated indicator overlays on the charts.  That's because you don't need them!

All you need to know as a trader is the price.  Besides, all oscillators and indicators are derived from the price action and are lagging in their very nature.  Relying on lagging indicators will only hurt your trading.  With our course, you'll learn how to read the price action and react to market conditions the same way a professional trader makes their trading decisions.

"The Beauty of RS of Houston's Proprietary Trading Methodology is that It Works on Any Market

It's important to learn a trading methodology that works in all markets so that if one market isn't moving well, you can easily shift to trading another market.  This a key benefit that separates the RS of Houston Methodology from others...it works on any market as you can see below.

See for yourself how the RS of Houston Methodology works on uniquely different markets.

S&P 500 eMini Market

The S&P 500 eMinis is the most actively traded market with volume of over 1 million contracts on many days. The S&P is known for its volatility intraday providing many opportunities each and every day for good trades. It trades electronically which allows for fast and simple order execution.

The S&P 500 market is open nearly 24 hours a day. It opens at 3:30 pm cst and closes at 3:15 pm M-F and opens from 5:30 pm sunday cst.

DAX German Market

Our approach can be used very effectively for trading the DAX futures as well as other international stock indices.  The DAX (Deutsche Aktienindex) is a German stock index comprised of the top 30 firms on the German stock exchange.

The DAX is a great market to trade with excellent volume. This market experiences large swings that are very predictable providing tremendous trading opportunities. The DAX, along with the S&P 500 eMini market is open almost around the clock, opening at 2am cst and closing at 1pm cst.  The DAX offers another alternative to those wanting to trade earlier hours or regular US trading hours.

Volatility in the DAX lately has been far greater than the S&Ps offering even more bang for your buck so to speak, with reasonable risk control. It trades electronically which allows for fast and simple order execution

T-BOND MARKET

The T-Bond interest rate market offers a different trading vehicle as compared to stock indexes.  Tremendous volume flows through the T-Bond market offering great liquidity for intraday trading.

This market offers wonderful opportunities to trade for the small and large traders. The key characteristic of this market is its ability to trend in one direction for a long time making it a great market to use our trend following patterns.

The T-Bond market is traded by more large institutions because of its nature which allows it to trend. There are many opportunities available each and every day and volatility is always there allowing good moves for you to take advantage of.

Also, the pace is a little slower than stock indexes making it a great candidate for beginners to start trading the RS of Houston method, while still offering  opportunities to profit each and every day. It trades electronically which allows for fast and simple order execution. The T-Bond market is open from 8:00 pm cst to 4:00 pm cst Sunday thru Friday.

STOCK MARKET

The stock market is of course one of the oldest and most familiar institutions in the world. It offers a vast amount of companies to trade. Once you pick out a stock or stocks to trade our method works very well on keeping you on the right side of the market you are in.

You can use our method to intraday trade or manage your portfolio or retirement fund based off a daily, weekly or monthly time frame.

Using our methodology would have allowed you to avoid the big bear market of the last few years and even get on the right side of the market buy either going to cash or getting short stocks or stock funds and riding the down wave.

Get on the right side of a trending stock and you will do well with implementing our method and rules.

FOREX MARKET

The Forex market offers the trader the ability to capitalize on the moves of the US dollar and other foreign currencies. This is the largest market in the world as it trades in billions of dollars each and every day.

Its a vast sea of money and as with all things money is an emotional object which can create huge trading swings and thereby offer plenty of trading opportunity.

One can do very well just trading one or two main currencies. Just like futures indexes or bonds, one or two markets will offer you all the trading opportunities you'll need to be able to trade for a lifetime and never have to look at anything else.

Currencies also trend very well which is a big plus for our trend following patterns. Your trend trades will last longer and offer much more opportunity in this market once you catch the major trend.

This is the same principal  for interest rates and stock indexes. Good currencies to consider are the dollar index, Euro, Swiss franc, Japanese Yen, British Pound.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Futures and Options trading has large potential rewards, but also large potential risk . You must be aware of the risks and be willing to accept them in order to invest in the futures and options markets. Don't trade with money you can't afford to lose. This is neither a solicitation nor an offer to Buy/Sell futures or options. DAYTRADING involves high risks and YOU can LOSE a lot of money . Hypothetical or simulated performance results have certain inherent limitations. Unlike an actual performance record, simulated results do not represent actual trading. Also, since the trades have not actually been executed, the results may have under- or over-compensated for the impact, if any, of certain market factors, such as lack of liquidity. Simulated trading programs in general are also subject to the fact that they are designed with the benefit of hindsight.
